APPENDIX A: Equations for Mentoring and Outreach
Mentoring Equations In order to estimate totals, the following calculations are provided. To estimate total hours mentoring for a year, multiply the average for that year (given in the equation) by the number of sites. Equations are given only where sample sizes were at least 30 completes. To calculate the amount of outreach, multiply the average number of hours (shown in the equation) by the number of outreach programs conducted that year. Yearly averages are given.
