    • June 25, 2007: Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former-Assistant Secretary, USDOL-OSHA, participated in a roundtable discussion focusing on ASSE's members' ideas on how to reach out to small businesses and other hard-to-reach employers and identifying potential outreach materials.
    • June 25, 2007: Paula O. White, then-Director, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs (DCSP), USDOL-OSHA, presented "Introduction to OSHA's New VPP for Construction Program."

  • May 6-12, 2007: 2007 North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week. ASSE and a number of other Alliance Program participants supported 2007 NAOSH Week, "All Modes of Transportation." Sponsored annually by ASSE and the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, the Week focuses on the importance of preventing injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
    • May 7, 2007: Representatives of ASSE attended the NAOSH Week Kick-off event at the U.S. Department of Labor. Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former-Assistant Secretary, USDOL-OSHA; and Donald S. Jones, Sr., P.E., CSP, past-President, ASSE; were the keynote speakers. Mr. Foulke presented "The Road to Safety" to OSHA and Alliance Program participants and other safety and health representatives.

    • June 12, 2006: OSHA staff attended a Reception on achieving professional safety and health certification.

  • April 30 - May 6, 2006: North American Occupational Safety and Health (NAOSH) Week. NAOSH Week focused the attention of employers, employees, the general public and all partners in occupational safety, health and the environment on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace. A number of Alliance Program participants supported 2006 NAOSH Week.
    • May 1, 2006: NAOSH Week Kick-Off, U. S. Department of Labor, Washington, DC. Edwin G. Foulke, Jr., former-Assistant Secretary, USDOL-OSHA; delivered the keynote presentation and recognized the national winners of ASSE's annual "Be Safe at Work" Kids' Safety Poster Contest. Jack H. Dobson, Jr., then-President, ASSE; and Art Nordholm, then-Secretary, Canadian Society of Safety Engineering, also gave remarks.
  • February 16, 2006: ASSE National Capital Chapter, Washington, DC. Jonathan L. Snare, former-Acting Assistant Secretary, USDOL-OSHA, updated ASSE's chapter on the Agency's compliance assistance and cooperative programs and the activities of the OSHA and ASSE Alliance.
